Cargo truck and bus collide in Cayo Print E-mail

There was an accident involving a passenger bus and a cargo truck between mile 71 & 72 on the George Price Highway at about 4:15pm on Tuesday of last week. Benque Police visited the accident site and observed a white Isuzu cargo truck bearing L/P A-00504 on the left side of the highway, with its front facing Succotz. Also seen on the right hand side of the highway was a yellow and black Blue Bird bus L/P D-00108, facing Succotz village. Initial investigations have revealed that Ri Fu Feng 25 year old businessman of George Price Highway, Santa Elena was driving the cargo truck when he collided with the bus driven at the time by Florencio Perez, who was travelling in the opposite direction. The bus struck the cargo truck on the left side, causing extensive damage to the entire left side and rear and at the same time caused the cargo of dry goods to scatter. Ri Fu Feng and his passenger Hua Chen Xu, both sustained minor cut wounds above their right eyes and their helper Heri Cocom complained of pain to the left knee.

Meanwhile; Florencio Perez sustained abrasions to his face and also had fractures to the right hand and both lower legs. Florencio Perez, who had been trapped between the steering wheel and his seat, complained of pain to the abdomen. Florencio Perez was rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital in a semi-unconscious state where he remained admitted to ward.
