Belize’s health authorities have now discovered the cause of death of a resident from the Cayo District. A post mortem examination conducted just last week Wednesday at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Morgue by Dr. Mario Estradabran now confirms that Eddie Alberto Sanchez died as a result of massive pulmonary edema, due to massive brain hemorrhage due to head injuries.

Sometime around 5:00 pm on Saturday 19th December 2015, Eddy Alberto Sanchez, 29 year old of Buena Vista Village was involved in a Road Traffic Accident and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. An investigation was carried out where it was learnt that Sanchez was riding his grey in color Meilun 125 Motorcycle, into the compound of Belize Concrete Ltd located at the outskirts of Spanish Lookout and off the Iguana Creek Road. Upon reaching the entrance of the said compound, he collided into a cable wire used as a  barrier to the compound  which was across the road. The Belizean carpenter sustained serious head and body injuries. He was rushed via BERT Ambulance in a critical condition to the Western Regional Hospital; thereafter to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he underwent treatment. Unfortunately, Sanchez succumbed to his injuries, on Monday 28th December 2015 about 2:00 pm.
