On Thursday January 21, 31 year old Belizean law student, Glenfield Dennison was shot in Guyana. Reports are that he had just dropped off his girlfriend in an area on the East Coast of Demerara when he was approached by a gunman as he was about to ride off. The assailant shot at him three times hitting him once to the stomach and his left arm. The gunshots punctured his lungs and injured his liver and he was rushed to the Georgetown hospital where he was treated and is now recuperating.

And while he is up and talking he is in urgent need of financial assistance as his medical bills are mounting and he is unable to keep up with them. He is now asking Belizeans to assist him by donating to Atlantic Bank account number 210725722. He can also be reached via telephone number 592-664-9520.

Glenfield Dennison is a law student at the University of Guyana and is a political activist on and off campus in the county very much as he was while in Belize. The Guardian Newspaper and the entire United Democratic Party wish him a speedy recovery.
