That tragedy occuredwhen a San Pedro man was stabbed to death by his wife. The incident happened on Sunday March 6, sometime after 9 p.m. in the San Pedrito area of the island.

34-year-old Rommel Benedicto Catzim, and his wife, 45 year-old Guatemalan Alida Catzim, had recently moved to a new apartment, but police say that they were known to have a history of domestic incidents. It is uncertain why the two fought on Sunday night, but residents tell the press that the couple had been drinking. They had an argument which escalated quickly when Alida Catzim allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Romel Catzim to death.

Police have transported his body to the morgue, and they have Alida Catzim in detention. She is being questioned at this time, and no charges have been forthcoming as yet.
