|“Dalla van” Taxi-driver, Rayford Benguche, charged with preparation to commit a crime|

A “Dalla van” Taxi-Driver of #46 Neal’s Pen Road in Belize City who was found in possession of a City of Belize, Traffic Department stamp was charged on Tuesday April 5th with the crime of preparation to commit a crime.
On April 3, whilst in Belize City, Benguche was found in possession of a traffic stamp used for forgery of a Belize Driver’s License #3642 in the name of Henry Velasquez. In Court #1 where Benguche appeared unrepresented, he pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered bail in the sum of $3,000 plus one surety of the same amount which he met. Rayford Benguche is due back in court on June 16.
According to a police report, on April 3rd at about 2:00 p.m., CIB personnel executed a search warrant at the home of Rayford Benguche situated at #46 B Neal’s Pen Road in Belize City. During the search, police found a rubber stamp marked “City of Belize, Department of Traffic, along with an alleged forged Belize Driver’s permit in the name of Henry Velasquez #3642. Police say when they questioned Benguche about the discovery of the items that were found inside his home, he could not give an account of them. Police made further searches inside the other parts of his home where they found a scanner, believe to have been use in the making of the driver’s license.
