Belmopan, Belize, 31 May 2011.- Fifty (50) youth leaders participated in a two days Youth Leadership and Team Building Workshop in Chetumal, Mexico, on May 27 & 28, 2011. This exercise was a continuation of a Youth Leadership Development Training which was conducted in Belize, on March 22 & 23, 2011.

The Training was facilitated by personnel of the University of Quintana Roo (UQROO) and was made possible through YFF’s partnership with the Mexican Embassy in Belize.

Youth leaders were drawn from youth groups nationally and were engaged in sports, cultural activities and most importantly received training in youth leadership.  The purpose of the exchange was to expose young people to different cultures as well as build their leadership capacity.

Youth leaders countrywide are encouraged to contact the Youth for the Future office in your district to benefit from upcoming activities youth empowerment activities organized between YFF and the Mexican Embassy in Belize.
