Los Angeles To Host Fundraiser for the Belize Cancer Center – Dangriga

(Los Angeles) The Consulate of Belize in Los Angeles and Blissfulsage Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of services to hospice patients in Belize, will join in hosting a fundraising reception honouring Dr. Ellsworth Grant and Nursing Supervisor Dellone Pascascio, both facilitators of Belize Cancer Center - Dangriga.

The reception is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 4 pm in the Auditorium of Shriners Children’s Hospital located at 3160 Geneva Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020. The event is expected to attract Belizeans residing in Southern California. The event will also have representation from the offices of elected officials Congresswoman Laura Richardson, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, Los Angeles City Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Los Angeles City Council Member Herb Wesson, State Senator Colin Price and Assemblyman Mike Davis.

The entire proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Belize Cancer Center - Dangriga. Tickets can be obtained from the Office of the Consulate at 323-634-9900.
