Last week we gave Juan Mentira a lesson in politics. This week we will give him one single lesson in life: Get this one straight Juan Mentira: The very last place to vent one’s frustration is at home. Granted we told you that Mrs. Mentira does not support your “foolishness” about wanting to be Prime Minister, this was no excuse for you to have gone off at home like that.  The next time it happens, the neighbors say that they will call the police on you.

Your frustration, Juan Mentira, should instead be directed at the Old Guard of the PUP and the Twin Traitors (Super Bondage Mark and Scholarship Fraud Cordel). They are the ones standing directly in your path. You call them traitors, they call you Skettel and they publicly say that you are NOT

Like Mrs. Mentira, we maintain that Juan Mentira will NEVER be king, because IF – and note that it’s a BIG IF – ever in his lifetime Juan Mentira is able to surpass the noose of the old guard and the daggers of the twin traitors, he will NEVER be able to get pass the mighty machinery of Dean Barrow and the grand UNITED Democratic Party. Punto Final.

Frankly speaking, all three factions of the PUP (The New Guard, The Old Guard and the Twin Traitors) are nothing more than copouts. The reality is that hardly any of them can show their faces in any of the 192 villages across this nation.

Tell them to try putting their foot on the soil in any of the river valley communities or any of the 27 villages in Rural North for that matter, and you will see how the people will chase them out for having neglected them for ten round years. In just two short years, the UDP has provided potable water to almost all of these villages and those that do not yet have it will VERY soon be getting it.

Let any of them from any of the three factions of the PUP, try putting a foot on the soil in any of the 27 villages in Stann Creek West and you will see what will happen to them. If you don’t believe me just ask Raddo Faggy, he can tell you. Do you not see that at your “drink tank” meetings Faggy sits at the very back with his black cap pulled over his eyes and with hardly anything to contribute.

The people of southern villages will tell you that, for ten years of PUP mismanagement, light poles for rural electricity expansion remain at the exact spot where Melvin Hulse left them ten years earlier, today these polls are moving closer to the people as rural development continues, not only in southern Belize, but across the length and breadth of this beautiful jewel of ours.

Visit any village from north to south and east to west and the chorus is basically the same. “We are moving forward with the UDP” – “Never again to the PUP era of corruption, thievery, secret accommodation agreements and super bondage.”

The PUP circus came to an abrupt end. Fonseca II has vowed that he will never again appear on another stage with the misguided, phone card scam, wanna be politician from Belmopan. Inside sources say that apart from the phone card, vehicle rental scam she pulled off in her law enforcement capacity, there is also the incident with the NEMO generator that mysteriously ended up on her farm. The police had to be called in for her to release her grip on the generator.

THEN there is the case of all the scrap material from renovations at the police training academy that mysteriously ended up on the same farm- the very same material that was later used to build the farm house where Pedro “The Cross She Bears” Cruz now relaxes with his “friends”. Trust me there is a whole lot more to come because the wannabe politician from Belmopan comes loaded with baggage.

We emerged from the days under the PUP when local newspapers were packed with an unprecedented number of pages of Belizean houses for sale, and yet they were trying to convince us that we were living in a good country.

We came from an era back THEN when the PUP was trying to convince us that we were living in a good country when interest rates at the commercial banks reached its highest level ever. It was a time back THEN when the expensive money severely restricted Belizeans from borrowing for investment purposes. We are NOW living in an era when government is announcing LOWER interest rates at the commercial banks. And much more is yet to come. 
 
In our series of lessons to Juan Mentira we offer two political realities:

Reality #1: Your immediate enemies - the Old Guard and the twin traitors - are coming at you from all angles. It is no secret that they want you to lose the upcoming village council elections, because losing will be just another confirmation of your weak “leadership”. They are openly saying that “Yu de pan yu own”.

Reality #2: Stop using the Belizean people in your personal and selfish political games.  If you are going to help Diabetes patient Fudge Cruz, then for heaven sake help the man, but don’t be dragging him along with your circus. The man is an invalid and he should get as much rest as he can.

Ask Fonseca II about the level of guilt that is NOW on his shoulders after putting the sick and feeble Charlie Good in the sun, rain, cold and heavy dew water in front of the Supreme Court for many days.  The abuse sent Charlie Good to an early grave.

Charlie Good was a sick man; he should have been in bed with the best medical care. He should have never been so abused for cheap political mileage. The passing of Charlie Good has rightfully taken a heavy toll on Fonseca II, but it’s a little too late to feel sorry.

Look what they did to Anastacio Gutierrez, the cane famer from Orange Walk. It was none other than Juan Mentira who rallied cane farmers in a violent confrontation with the police. While they were instigating confrontation, Juan Mentira and his goons lurked far behind the frontline with bullet proof vests while protesters at the frontline were left naked and Anastacio lost his life all for a few minutes of selfish fame for the PUP.

These selfish acts continue to haunt the PUP, it seems as though they have not learnt the lesson as they continue to use Fudge Cruz as a tool to criticize the government. If the truth be told, the present government is spending a whole heap of money on Fudge and if you don’t believe me just ask the Financial Secretary, but these are personal matters that the UDP will not broadcast.

If Juan Mentira and Musa of the Old Guard want to talk about not helping the people, they should be reminded of the way they treated Ray “is the way” Lightburn. A stalwart PUP warrior left to aimlessly roam the streets of the country in rags until he was eventually called home.

One just needs to look at the way they are treating Marshall Nunez when the law firm of his own former Party leader is leading the court charge to take away his house as Marshall goes through challenging times.

One has just got to look out west at Mario Castellanos, a former PUP Area Representative from one of those western constituencies. The man is flat on his backside, and the PUP knows this because one of their own law firms just last week came in and crow-footed even the bicycle he rides; in fact, they crow-footed even the very cup from which the man drinks.

Where is the love, Juan Mentira and the PUP? We remember when in opposition and a similar condition rested on the shoulders of a fellow UDP, Party Leader Dean Barrow stepped up to the plate and announced that the party must take care of its own and the offer was made to help Sydney out of the rut that he was in.

We could not end this week without informing G. Michael “the deportee” Reid and Glenn “the hammer” Tillett that they will get neither Rolex Watch nor Vehicle respectively, because not a single person in the field of journalism has shown any interest in putting anything into the collection plate.

The Prime Minister’s Rolex watch will therefore continue haunting The Deportee Reid well into the foreseeable future and The Hammer Tillett will just have to continue shining his bicycle seat as he hops from bar to bar.
