Cabinet met in regular session on Tuesday, 9 March, 2010.

The Budget FY 2010/2011

Cabinet concluded its discussion of the budget for FY 2010-2011. The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Hon. Dean O. Barrow, will present the

budget in the House of Representatives on Monday, March 15. The budget debate has been scheduled for March 25-26.

Ministry of Education Task Force

Cabinet was informed of the inauguration of the Ministry of Education’s Task Force to Identify Alternative Student discipline Approaches. The Task Force will be responsible to identify, recommend, and devise a plan for the introduction of alternatives to corporal punishment for achieving discipline in our schools and developing self-disciplined citizens.
