|P.M. Barrow attends IDB president elections|

Prime Minister Hon. Dean Barrow is in Washington where he is representing Belize at a special meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter American Development Bank. The meeting was convened on Tuesday July 6th where a former Colombian ambassador to the U.S. was reelected as the presidentof the Inter American Development Bank. Moreno was the only candidate who vied for the post and received support from 35 of the 48 members of the IDB. Moreno will serve for 5 years.
Prime Minister Barrow who left for Washington on Monday July 5th is supported by Belize’s ambassador to the U.S. H.E. Nestor Mendez. The P.M. will return to Belize on Friday July 9th.
