The Premier League of Belize Closing Season Tournament for 2016 continued on Saturday 30 January out at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town between the defending national football champions of Belize the Police United and Wagiya FC.

The visiting Wagiya FC took an early lead in the game when Jacinto Bermudez scored the 1st goal of the game in the 7th minute of play to give his team a temporary lead. Wagiya FC once again took the lead when Donnel Arzu scored his team’s 2nd and final goal of the game in the 15th minute of play for a 2-1 that they took well into the 2nd half of the game.

It was not until Danny Jimenez scored the 2nd goal for the Police United squad in the 58th minute of play that the score was once again  a tie at 2-2.

The tie game was broken up when Harrison Roches scored the 3rd goal of the game for the Police United in the 84th minute of play to give his team their first lead in the game at 3-2.
