Belize Defence ForceThe Belize Premier Football League Opening Season came to an end on Sunday December 6, 2009, at the MCC Grounds with the second and final game in the championship series between the Belize Defence Force and F.C. Belize.

At the start of the game it was very evident that F.C. Belize did not showed up to play

the second and final game in the championship when the visiting Belize Defence Force got on the scoreboard first when Orlando Jimenez scored his 1st goal of the game in the 12th minute of play to give his team an early lead.

The Belize Defence Force’s lead was further extended when Orlando Jimenez scored his 2nd goal of the game in the 24th minute of play. In reality those were the only goals really needed in the game, but the Belize Defence Force’s offence took no chance and added another goal when Deon McCauley scored his team’s 3rd goal in the 35th minute of play via a penalty kick.

The first half of the game ended with the Belize Defence Force enjoying a 3-0 lead.

In the second half of the game, the Belize Defence Force continued to apply the pressure of the defence of F.C. Belize who gave up yet another goal to Deon McCauley in the 85th minute of play.

At the end of the long whistle, the Belize Defence Force was victorious, thus capturing its first Semi-Pro Title.

At the end of the championship, Deon McCauley of the Belize Defence Force was named the Most Valuable Player in this year’s playoffs.

The championship series went to the Belize Defence Force with an aggregated score of 5 to F.C. Belize’s 2.
