The Belize Softball Federation in its Management Council Meeting held on Saturday January 30, 2010, at the Softball Secretariat at Rogers Stadium agreed for the ISF Umpire in Belize Mr. Joel Westby to reorganize the Belize Umpires Association and to bring the association into function. The Federation is now accepting applications from suitable male and female high school teachers, primary school teachers as well as former players to join the umpires’ association. Application forms can be picked up from Mrs. Desiree Flowers, Secretary General of the Belize Softball Federation at Wesley Pre-School on Chapel Lane, Mr. Joel Westby ISF Umpire at the Christian Academy in Belmopan City, and from presidents of the affiliated associations as well as from the Sports Development Unit at the National Sports Council.The ISF Umpire will be responsible for providing training for the new members as well as to bring them up to ISF standard where they will be able to attend the ISF Umpires’ School on-line. |
