|Darnell Barrow takes Saturday race|

The Belize Cycling Association sponsored its usual Saturday race on October 16, 2010. This 42 miles event saw the participation of some 13 riders. The race started at Leslie’s Imports on the Western Highway to the Burrell Boom Junction with the Northern Highway and then back to Leslie’s Imports.At the end of 1:48:26, it was Darnell Barrow of Santino’s Belize that took first place. Barrow’s teammate, Leroy Casasola finished second, followed by Glenn O’Brien of Zamir Cycling Team, Mark Staine of Benny’s Megabytes, and Christian McNish also of Benny’s Megabytes in a time of 1:51:20 for the fifth and final position in the top finishers.
Other finishers included Santino Castillo of Santino’s Belize in a time of 1:51:20, Marlon Castillo of Zamir Cycling Team, Ernest Thurton of Santino’s Belize, Ron McKenzie of C-Ray Cycling Team, and Mateo Cruz of Zamir Cycling Team. The next race is scheduled for Saturday October 23 commencing at 6:30am from Leslie’s Imports to the Boom Junction and back to Leslie’s Imports.
