The Belize Premier Football League Opening Season continued on Sunday November 1, with games across the country.

At the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga town, the visiting Belize Defence Force blanked the home team Wagiya by the score of 2-0. Deon McCauley scored the 1st goal of the game in the 6th minute of play to give his team an early 1-0 lead. The lead was further extended when Orlando Jimenez

scored his team’s 2nd goal of the game in the 30th minute of play. Those two goals were able to hold up during the remaining minutes of the 1st half of the game and during the 2nd half of the game for the victory.

Meanwhile, at the MCC Grounds in Belize City, Hankook Verdes defeated F.C. Belize by the score of 2-1. Jeromy James scored the only goal of the game for F.C. Belize, while Marlon Meza scored for the visiting Hankook Verdes via a penalty kick. Edon Rowley scored Hankook Verdes’ 2nd and final goal of the game for the big victory.

With those wins, both teams sit pretty good at the top of the standing in this year’s Opening Season of the Belize Premier Football League.
