Early indications are that Smith may have been killed elsewhere and then buried at the shooting range. Additionally, police believe he wasn’t killed immediately when he went missing. That is because while the body was decomposing, his family was still able to recognize him, indicating he may have been held captive before being killed. His family initially reported that on December 26, eight days after he went missing, they heard screams in the area of the Dollar Bank Road. The following morning they say that they found his slippers under a tree. His family reported him missing on December 28. |




















On Tuesday March 2, the body of a man was found buried in a shallow grave at the shooting range in the vicinity of Mile 19 on the Western Highway. The body has since been identified by family members to be that of 38-year-old carpenter Glen Smith which brought to an end their two month desperate search for answers. Smith went missing from his home on the Dollar Bank Road in Hattieville on December 19, 2009. He was last seen alive with friends playing dice. A post mortem
