Trina Young, Registrar General, reported to police that on Monday, April 15, 2019, two men entered the office and proceeded to rob them. One of the men was armed with a firearm and the second with a knife. They demanded money and were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money from a deposit bag. Along with Young at the time of the robbery was the office’s cashier, Natalie Peterson. Police are investigating and it has been understood that a firearm, knife, and pair of slippers were found behind the Bliss Center for Performing Arts. It is unconfirmed by police but it is also believed that one suspect has been detained.
