Alberto Cuellar accused of obtaining property by deception Print E-mail

On Monday, March 27, 2017, Alberto Cuellar was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith where he was read two charges of obtaining property by deception from Merlene Rios. Cuellar, who was unrepresented, pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The first incident occurred on February 14, 2017. Cuellar claimed to be selling an iPhone 7 and received $1,000 from Rios. On February 24, 2017, Cuellar again claimed that Rios would receive an iPhone 7 in exchange for an additional $800.

After pleading not guilty, Cuellar was bailed with a $500 cash deposit and a $500 signed surety. He was also ordered to report to the Queen Street Police Station every Monday starting on April 3rd, 2017.
Cuellar met bail and is due back in court on June 14, 2017.
