Councilor Hyacinth Latchman-Cuellar, through the portfolio for Women and Children, delivered cash donations to the Standard Six teachers of Ebenezer and Trinity Methodist Schools on Tuesday, March 28. The contribution is to be used for Standard Six students gearing up for the Primary School Examinations this month and May.

The idea to make donations to students preparing for PSE came from the Council’s Children Advisory Board which is comprised of children in the upper level of primary schools and lower levels of secondary schools across the city. In this project, the Council will hand over funds to eight primary schools. The total amount to be donated is just over $6000.

Councilor Latchman-Cuellar was accompanied by Councilors Kevin Singh and Michael Theus on the visits to Ebenezer and Trinity Methodist. Other schools to have benefited from the program include, Queen Square and St. John’s Anglican, Grace Primary School, St. Luke Methodist and Calvary Temple School.

Another set of donations will be made for the second half of PSE Exams after the Easter Holiday.
