At the time Vasquez said that the video was in the possession of the Professional Standard’s Branch, who had it for 6 weeks prior.

At the time of being informed, Compol Allen Whylie said he was not aware of the video and requested that Vasquez provide it to him, which took place. Upon receiving the video, Whylie directed that an investigation be carried out and instructed the acting commanding officer of the Orange Walk Formation, Inspector Jose Mendez to do so.

As a result of the investigation Police Constable #1349 Jorge Arcurio of the Orange Walk formation  and Alfredo Ismael Gongora a voluntary Special Constable are now being investigated.

PC Arcurio was charged disciplinary for committing an act of prejudice to good order and discipline. He was subsequently placed on interdiction. Meanwhile special constable Alfredo Gongora was suspended from the special constable program.
