On Monday, April 10, 19 year old Randy Chambers was brought before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith where he was arrainged on two counts of robbery. Chambers, who was  unrepresented, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

It is alleged that on April 5, 2017, Chambers, armed with a knife, robbed Isaac and Jamir Castellanos. According to police reports, Isaac was robbed of a silver link chain of unknown value while Jamir was robbed of a $250 silver link chain, $55 headphone, and $500 in cash.

Chambers was granted bail of $2000, $500 which was to be cash deposit and the balance in a signed surety. His bail conditions are that he has to report to the Raccoon Street police station on Mondays and Wednesdays and to stay away from the victims, not interfering with them directly or indirectly. Smith warned him that if he breaches the conditions of the bail, that in itself is an offense and the bail will be revoked.

His next court date is set for July 17, 2017. Smith ordered that the case of Chambers undergo case management which is set for July 3, 2017.
