Ada Logan, a 39-year-old mother and housewife of Belize City, used indecent words to a police officer and was charged. On May 4, 2017, Logan was arraigned before Magistrate Sharon Fraser on a single count of using indecent words. Logan was unrepresented in court and pleaded guilty to the charge.

Allegedly on May 3, 2017, while at the Precinct 1 Police Station on Euphrates Avenue, Logan used some explicit words in the presence of a police officer while asking for her son.

In court, Fraser asked Logan to give her a good reason to not send her to jail for being so disrespectful. Logan claims that she was just mad because a police picked up her son for an incident she claims her son had nothing to do with. She said that the police had her son in handcuffs.

Logan was imposed a non-custodial sentence and was fined $200 and the $5.00 cost of court to be paid in full by June 30, 2017 or in default serve  2 months imprisonment.
