In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 19, verse 29, Jesus said, “Everyone that has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.”

When I read this saying of Jesus, I was reminded of what I had to leave behind to come to Belize. My daughter Gail is in Bermuda, bringing up my granddaughter Sky by herself, and I sometimes wish I was there to assist her!

She called last week, and she has accepted the sacrifice she has to make in allowing me to stay here. It’s all in God’s hands. He will work it out!

Jesus reminds us that we will never receive beyond our expectation. Expectation is the place where miracles are born. Expectation is the greatest indication of our faith. It is what creates passion in our lives. It takes courage to keep our expectations in spite of all the setbacks in our lives.

In order to have a supernatural imagination we need to maintain our faith in God by believing He will do great things through us. When God gives us a dream, He shows us the end result but not the process we will go through. He does this so that He can incorporate our detours. Because as humans we sometimes step out of the path He has set for us.

Peter was to become the first leader of the Apostles, yet along the way he denied Jesus, and also deserted the ministry to go back to fishing. Jesus told him that after he has been restored from his mistake, he should strengthen the rest.

Peter was used to build a powerful church. Peter was changed after the Holy Spirit came upon him and he remained in the Spirit by giving himself to study of the Word. Let us hold on to the promises of God upon our lives, and it will come to pass.
