Two of four men that were linked in an armed robbery and the kidnapping of a Corozal resident are out on Supreme Court bail. The men, Ryan Espinosa and Jeffrey Gongora, have been granted bail in the sum of $10,000 each after being brought before Justice Antoinette Moore in the Belize City Supreme Court.

Eder Hall was robbed at gun point and later kidnapped. The incident occurred in Ranchito Village and four men were charged in connection to the crime. They are Jeffery Gongora, Eder Lopez, and brothers Ryan and Jason Espinosa. The four men were arraigned on May 18, 2017 in the Corozal Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Patricia Arana for the offenses of robbery with a firearm and kidnapping of Eder Hall.

After an overnight lockdown at the Belize Central Prison, Gongora and Ryan Espinosa had their bail hearing on May 19. They were represented by Attorney Kathleen Lewis. Each was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 along with a surety of $5,000. They were both able to meet their bail on the same day. They were ordered to report to the Corozal Police Station on Fridays effective May 26. They were also instructed to attend all court adjournments, to stay away from prosecution witnesses, and to refrain from being arrested. The four men are due back in court on August 8, 2017.
