On May 19, 2017, 20-year-old Lawrence Young Jr. of Belize City reported that he was riding on Lawrence Avenue when a male person rode up beside him on a bicycle pulled out a firearm and  robbed him of his gold chain valued at $600.

On the same date, police visited a Dunn Street, Belize City residence where they learnt that Michael Acosta of the same address was transported to the KHMH. Investigations reveal that Acosta was at home with his family when two male persons came to purchase ice cream. When he was serving the ice cream, one of the persons pointed a firearm at him and proceeded to kick him in the nose and mouth. His common-law wife was robbed by the other person who made off with $16,163 worth of jewelry.

Dangriga Police responded to reports of a robbery at the residence of 68-year-old retiree Derrick Peters of Dangriga, Stann Creek on May 21, 2017. Peters was seen with a cut wound on the left arm, left wrist, swelling to the neck, and scratches to the left leg. He reported that on May 21 while he was sitting on the veranda of his house, two male persons attacked him and relieved him of a gold chain and medal valued at $2,500.00. Police are investigating.

In a robbery in San Isidro Village, Toledo, police responded to the area on May 22 where they saw Mercedes De Jesus Madril. He reported that he stopped at the side of the road to offer someone a ride when another male person came out of the bushes with a shotgun in his hand. Both men robbed him of his wallet and took the money out, which was $340. They threw the wallet on the ground. Madril attempted to grab the weapon and a struggle ensued which caused the shotgun to go off and left a hole in the roof of his vehicle. They left on a motorcycle. He then called for police assistance.
