Glenford Tillett, 33-year-old fudge man, was taken to court on May 29, 2017 on a charge of littering.

Allegations are that on Saturday, May 27, 2017 as he was sitting in front of Lina’s Store, a Chinese grocery store located on Mahogany Street in Belize City, he was picked in by police and charged with littering.

According to Tillett, he was sitting on a piece of card board box when the officer approached him and asked him if he worked at the Chinese store. He said no and was instructed to leave immediately. He complied and picked up the cardboard and tore it and threw it on the ground as he was walking away. He was instructed to pick up the debris and again complied. He then got on his bicycle and threw a piece of the cardboard out of his carrier and was then charged with littering.

In court before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza, he pleaded guilty. He gave an explanation to Magistrate Mendoza and was cautioned and discharged of the offense.
