Justin Longsworth who was on remand after being found guilty of stealing 11-49 inch flat screen televisions from his boss will be spared any more time in jail. On May 18, 2017, Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith remanded him to prison until May 25th while she decided his fate. When he reappeared in court he was fined $3,000 for the offense. Of the 11 televisions that were stolen, only one was recovered during police investigations.

At mitigation, Longsworth attorney Dean Lindo called Lavern “Anti Christ” Longsworth, a relative of Justin, as a character witness. She spoke well of him and told the court that he is a good father to his three children. Chief Magistrate Smith told Longsworth that his three children are the only reason he will not be sent to prison. He was ordered to pay his fine by December 20, 2017 in default of being imprisoned for three years.
