The 2016-2017 Belize City Primary Schools Basketball Competition continued on Monday 29th May, 2017, at the Gateway Youth Centre with four games on the schedule.

In the first of two games played in the girls’ competition, St. Joseph Roman Catholic School won handily over Queen Square Anglican School by the score of 28-0. The top scorers for St. Joseph Roman Catholic School were Briah Clarke and Afeni Lamb.

In game two, St. John’s Primary School won over St. John Vianney School by the score of 17-0. The top scorer for St. John’s Primary School was Kelis Turton with 11 points.

In the first of two games in the boys’ competition, St. Joseph Roman Catholic School won over Queen Square Anglican School by the score of 38-12. The top scorer for St. Joseph Roman Catholic School was Brandon Vasquez with 15 points while the top scorer for Queen Square Anglican School was Luis Mathews with 7 points.

And in the final game of the day, St. John’s Primary School defeated St. John Vianney School by the score of 29-12. The top scorer for St. John’s Primary School was Ervin Rhamdas with 7 points while the top scorer for St. John Vianney School was Jhalen Mariano with 6 points.

On Friday 26th May, in the first game in the girls’ competition, Belize Elementary School won over All Saints Anglican School by the score of 13-10. The top scorer for Belize Elementary School was Sanaa Rowland with 11 points while the top scorer for All Saints Anglican School was Treya Menzies with 6 points.

In game two, Holy Redeemer School won over St. Luke Methodist School by the score of 7-4. The top scorer for Holy Redeemer School was Kiana Novelo with 5 points while the top scorer for St. Luke Methodist School was Ashley Guevara with 4 points.

In the first of two games in the boys’ competition, Belize Elementary School won over All Saints Anglican School by the score of 32-26. The top scorer for Belize Elementary School was Eric Williams with 16 points while the top scorer for All Saints Anglican School was Shane Pratt with 18 points.

And in the final game of the day, Holy Redeemer School edged out St. Luke Methodist School by the score of 24-23. The top scorer for Holy Redeemer School was Ahmaad Card with 13 points while the top scorer for St. Luke Methodist School was Daniel Gallego with 7 points.

And on Thursday 25th May, in the first game in the girls’ competition, St. Joseph School won over St. John’s Primary School by the score of 20-10. The top scorer for St. Joseph School was Briah Clarke with 12 points while the top scorer for St. John’s Primary School was Kelis Thurton with 10 points.

In game two, St. John Vianney School won over Muslim Community School by the score of 4-0. The top scorer for St. John Vianney School was Alleesha Sawazo who scored all 4 points.

In the first of two games in the boys’ competition, St. Joseph School defeated St. John’s Primary School by the score of 27-23. The top scorers for St. Joseph School were Brandon Vasquez and Jovian Knowles with 7 points each while the top scorers for St. John’s Primary School were Rashied Lord and Ajahn Ashby with 5 points each.

And in the final game of the day, Muslim Community School won over St. John Vianney School by the score of 22-20. The top scorer for Muslim Community School was Ezry Alvarez with 13 points and the top scorer for St. John Vianney School was Devaun Gonzales with 12 points.
