Wagner’s Lane resident, 24-year-old Macory Neal, has begun to serve a 4 year sentence. He was sentenced on June 13, 2017 before Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith after she found him guilty of possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Neal and 21-year-old Maleik Humes, another Wagner’s Lane resident, were charged jointly with having a 9 mm Beretta pistol along with 42 live rounds of 9 mm ammunition but in the trial on Friday, June 9, 2017, Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith ruled that only Neal had a case to answer to and acquitted Humes of the charge.

In the case of Neal, he was found guilty and he was remanded pending sentencing. He was sentenced to 4 years versus the maximum prison time of 5 years on June 13. Neal had another 4 year sentence and the two 4 year sentences were set to run concurrently.
