June 12, 2017 was set for trial against Jamaal Warrior for burglary. He was accused of trespassing into the home of Sharon Peters on Albert Street West and stealing 8.00 in items, including electronic and personal items.

Warrior, who was unrepresented in court, changed his not guilty plea to guilty for burglary. His court record was produced in court and Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith sentenced him to 7 years, the minimum sentence for burglary, after noticing his long rap sheet for similar offenses.
