Drugs found on Norwegian cruise ship Print E-mail

On the morning of June 13, 2017, Placencia police were called to a Norwegian Escape Cruise Ship that was docked at Harvest Caye. Security Officers reported that they found a suspicious package in a cabin on the ship. The cabin was being occupied by Derson Frank, a 30-year-old St. Vincent man. Frank was escorted to his cabin where a search was conducted by police. The substance in the package was found to be 2 kilos of cocaine.

During the investigation, it was revealed that two other men were involved. Those men are Renaldo Kerron Roberts, also of St. Vincent, and Jamal Nathus Celise of St. Lucia.  The package was weighed amounting to 1.065kg of cocaine.  All three men were charged with two counts of drug trafficking and are presently remanded at Belize Central Prison.
