This Non-profit Organization aims to foster the running culture in the South.

Dangriga, Belize: The Hope Run is a competitive and participatory 5k event that encourages its participants, be it professional or otherwise, to run, jog or walk on behalf of causes/charities that hold personal significance to them. Today marks the official launch of the campaign to bring widespread awareness of this initiative to the public.

A registration fee of $30 is required for competitive participants and optional for participatory runners. The run plans to commence at the 3 mile mark on the Stann Creek Valley Road and conclude at the Belize Telemedia Princess Royal Park.

About The Hope Run Project: In isolation, the Hope Run’s structure aims to incite widespread community involvement; ingraining itself as an annual staple of the community, while the overall aim of the Hope Run Project encompasses a long-term attempt at uniting and assisting in the establishment of the running culture across the country. Through the endorsement and support of Vincentian-American James Cordice, an influential figure in getting teams from the Caribbean to the Penn Relays held in the USA annually, we also aim to build a culture and system that will begin to allow Belizean athletes to participate in that 122 year old event.
