In the Gospel of John, chapter 16, verse 15, Jesus said: “Everything the Father says is also what I say. That is why I said, ‘He (Holy Spirit) will take what I say and tell it to you.’ ”

Jesus had a close relationship with our Heavenly Father, and the Father always showed Him everything He was doing. This foreknowledge from God always put Jesus a step ahead of all the things which will happen during the day. He was a step ahead of His critics and enemies because God revealed what was in their minds to Him. He already knew about the problems of the people He was going to meet, and had seen the solutions from the Father. Therefore all He had to do was to call the things from the spiritual into the physical realm. He did this through thanksgiving. He used thanksgiving to multiply the bread and fish, and also to call Lazarus from the grave

Jesus promised that He would not keep any secret from us. He said when the Holy Spirit comes He will take what He shows Him and tell us. Yet for most believers we hardly ever have pre-knowledge of the things to come, so we can fight it if it is evil or receive it quickly if it is good.

The Bible says the natural man cannot perceive the things which are in the spirit. This means the spiritual world, although it is more real than the physical world, is invisible to those who choose to ignore it. Therefore it is important that, if we want to experience and know things in the spirit, we take the promise of revelation and meditate on it with thanksgiving, until our spiritual senses become awakened. So that despite all the problems faced, we will be a step ahead, and ready to work things out.

Here’s our thought for the week: Jesus has revealed all things to us, and we have to receive it.
