On July 26, 2017 at 7:32 p.m., police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they saw Adan Perez, a 33-year-old bus driver of Armenia Village, Cayo, suffering from four stab wounds; one to the right side of chest, two to the right side of the abdomen, and one under the right arm.

Perez reported that he was driving a van from Franks Eddy Village in the direction toward Belmopan City, and upon reaching between Cotton Tree and Harmonyville, he picked up a male passenger who sat in as a passenger. The passenger swiftly snatched a black coin bag from the dashboard which contained $210 in different denominations. Perez attempted to grab back the bag but a struggle ensued and he sustained injuries. The assailant then made good his escape with the bag and its contents. Police are investigating.
