Two teenagers charged in connection with a stolen ,000 Meilun motorcycle were arraigned in court before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser on a charge of handling stolen goods. They are 18-year-old Eugene Castillo of Mahogany Heights and a 17-year-old of Western Paradise village.

Allegations made against the duo are that on July 28, 2017, they dishonestly assisted in the retention of a motorcycle, the property of Clifford Welch.

In court where they were both unrepresented, they pleaded not guilty. Prosecutor in the case, Cpl. Christopher Smith, objected to bail being granted to the minor on the basis that he has been before the court twice in connection to a stolen motorcycle. The minor, according to Cpl. Smith, was already on bail and if he should be granted bail again, it would only be a matter of time before he ends up before the court on a similar charge again.

With that, the 17-year-old was denied bail and was remanded at the Wagner’s Facility for Youth until September 8, 2017 when his bail will be revisited. Castillo was allowed to go home.
