An international team of officers are now being trained in the Nation’s Capital to be proactive about crime. Some 20 Belize Police officers, 5 customs officers and 10 Guatemalans are being trained by a Crime Stoppers Regional initiative, with the help of Salvadoran police, in the areas of counterfeit goods, gangs and contraband cigarettes.

Brand owners from Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Puma and others will be making presentations at the Police Training Academy in Belmopan on how to identify counterfeit goods during Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
