Police visited the KHMH Emergency Room on Monday August 7, 2017 where they saw Fiona Spain, a 35-year-old Belizean domestic, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right lower back and a 14-year old Belizean male student suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the left wrist, upper left chest, and upper right back.

Initial investigation revealed that at 10:00 p.m. on the same date, the minor was sitting on a chair on a verandah on Cleghorn Street when a male person walking in front of Rivero’s Welding fired shots in their direction, causing their injuries. The gunman then ran down Cleghorn Street towards New Road and made good his escape. Police investigations continue.
