In court on August 15, 2017, the fisherman found to be in possession of a stolen motorcycle, was brought before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser where he was unrepresented. He has been identified as 31-year-old Lerone Williams of Faber’s Road.

The motorcycle was assigned to the Ministry of Education and was recovered by police in possession of Williams.

According to Williams, he met a group of minors swimming in an area of Belize City and he said that it was from the minors that he got the motorcycle. His claim was that he was taking the motorcycle to the Police Station. He further stated that instead of walking through the streets of the city, he was driving the motorcycle to the police station and that is when police found him in possession of the cycle.

He pleaded not guilty and since there was no objection he was offered bail in the sum of $300 plus one surety of the same amount.

Williams’ next court date is set for October 20, 2017.
