The Belize District Basketball Association 2017 Firms’ competition regular season came to an end on Thursday 17th August, 2017, at Swift Hall here in Belize City.

In the first game played, Central Health defeated The Kings by the score of 72-45. The top scorers for Central Health were Faisal Ahmad with 20 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals; Keith Pollard with 14 points, 17 rebounds and a steal and Paul Moro with 11 points and 3 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the top scorers for The Kings were Farron Louriano with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals; Dave Apolonio with 10 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals and Leon Williams with 7 points, 6 rebounds and an assist.

In the second game of the evening, tuff e Nuff edged out INFOTEL/Mars by the score of 83-80. The top scorers for Tuff e Nuff were Justin Wade with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals; Rico Black who also scored 24 points and 3 rebounds and Tyronne Edwards who contributed 11 points to go along with his 7 assists.

For INFOTEL/Mars, the top scorers were Elvis Olivera with 26 points and 10 rebounds; Russell Humes with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists and Elton Anderson and Earl Johnson who both scored 13 points each.

The playoffs round will commence on Friday 25th August, 2017, with the first two games in the Quarter-finals at Swift Hall. In the first game scheduled for 7:00 pm Dragons the number one seed will go up against BTL the number eight seed and in game two, Warriors the number four seed will see action against Tuff e Nuff the number five seed.

On Saturday 26th August, 2017, in game one at 7:00 pm, Bulldogs the number two seed will entertain INFOTEL/Mars the number seven seed and in the final game of the evening, it will be Central Health the number three seed that will go up against The Kings the number six seed.
