Kevin Bodden, a 24-year-old former murder suspect of Belize City, is out on bail after he was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on September 13, 2107 on a single charge of wounding of a woman. Bodden, who was unrepresented, appeared before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza where he pleaded not guilty.

The allegations against Bodden are that on September 9, 2017, he intentionally and unlawfully caused a wound to Sherilee Barrow of Belize City. Barrow told police that she was at a friend’s house where Bodden, who is her neighbor, approached her and punched her in her mouth causing it to bleed. She visited a doctor and her injury was classified as wounding.

In court, there was no objection to bail and bail was granted to Bodden in the sum of $500 plus one surety of the same which he was able to meet. Bodden is due back in court on December 1, 2017.
