Jamie Williams, who was out on bail after he was accused of burglarizing the home of a secretary employed with the Government of Belize, was busted trying to smuggle weed inside a cell block to his friend Elden Flowers, currently on remand for murder. Williams was arraigned before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 where he was represented by attorney Oscar Selgado.

In court, Williams pleaded not guilty to a single charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. Since there was no objection to bail by the prosecutor in the case, he was offered bail in the sum of $700 plus one surety of the same, which he was able to meet. Williams is due back in court on November 30, 2017.

The bust occurred on September 5, 2017 at the entrance of the cell block area located at the Belize City Magistrate’s court where PC D. Palacio made the discovery of two bags of cannabis inside two transparent plastic bags. Williams had brought a sub sandwich and in it, he stashed cannabis. He was informed of the offense he had committed and taken into custody where he was processed and charged.

Williams and Flowers are accused of a burglary which is presently still before the court.
