Two well-known criminal figures who have managed to previously beat a murder charge are presently behind bars after allegations against them came up regarding firearm ammunition. They are brothers Alexander Underwood, 28, and Austin Underwood, 24. They were found on October 23, 2017 with a 5.56 bullet.

The brothers appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Michelle Trapp at the Belize City Magistrates Court on October 24, 2017 where they were read a single charge of kept prohibited ammunition. Both plead not guilty to the charge but due to the nature of the offenses, they could not be granted bail.

The Underwood brothers were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until January 24, 2018.
