Verdes FC blank the Belize Defence Force FC in Premier League Football competition Print E-mail

The Premier League of Belize 2017 Opening Season competition continued over the last week end with three games played.

On Saturday 21st October, at the Football Federation of Belize Stadium in Belmopan, Verdes FC blanked the host team Belize Defence Force FC by the score of 2-0.

The 1st goal of the game was scored by Jarret Davis in the 22nd minute of play to give his team an early lead. The first half of the game ended 1-0 in favour of the visiting Verdes FC.

The 2nd and final goal of the game was scored by Elroy Kuylen in the 90th minute of play to give his team the 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan, the defending champions and the current leaders in this year’s Opening Season, Bandits Sports defeated the host team Police United by the score of 5-1.

The goals for Bandits Sports were scored by Jerome James in the 47th minute of play, Georgie Welcome scoring in the 50th and 76th minutes of play, Darwin Bermudez in the 56th minute of play and Jermaine Jones own goal in the 61st minute of play.

The only goal of the game for Police United FC was scored by Harrison Roaches in the 78th minute of play.

And then on Sunday 22nd October, at the Victor Sanchez Stadium in Punta Gorda Town, San Pedro Pirates FC edged out the host team Freedom Fighters FC by the score of 4-3.

The goals for the visiting San Pedro Pirates FC were scored by Inri Gonzaga in the 10th and 69th minute of play, Luis Mencia in the 55th minute of play and Jesse Smith in the 63rd minute of play.

Meanwhile, the goals for Freedom Fighters FC were scored by Ralph Flores in the 39th minute of play, Marion Noralez in the 43rd minute of play and Allen Barillas in the 80th minute of play.
