Belize Rural Primary School wins rural girls’ and boys’ basketball competition Print E-mail

The Belize District Rural Primary Schools Basketball elimination for zones 1, 2, 3 and 4 took place on Tuesday 17th October, 2017, at the Ladyville Basketball Court. Four girls’ team namely Burrell Boom Methodist School, St. Therese RC School (Burrell Boom), Belize Rural Primary School and Lucky Strike Government School participated in the competition while the schools that participated in the boys’ competition are Burrell Boom Methodist School, St. Therese RC School (Burrell Boom), Belize Rural Primary School, Lucky Strike Government School and Our Lady of the Way RC School (Ladyville).

In the first game played in the girls’ competition, Burrell Boom Methodist School defeated St. Therese RC School by the score of 10-0. The top scorer for Burrell Boom Methodist School was Zoila Aguilar with 6 points.

In game two, Belize Rural Primary School won over Lucky Strike Government School by the score of 6-3. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Nadine Humble with 4 points while the top scorer for Lucky Strike Government School was Kenisha Herbert with 2 points.

In the girls’ championship game, Belize Rural Primary School defeated Burrell Boom Methodist School by the score of 12-4. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Nadine Humble with 8 points and the top scorer for Burrell Boom Methodist School was Dorothy Davis and Zoila Aguilar with 2 points each.

In the first game in the boys’ competition, Our Lady of the Way RC School defeated St. Therese RC School by the score of 27-3. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Elmer Moralez and Jaden Frazer with 8 points each and the top scorer for St. Therese RC School was Winston Dawson with 3 points.

In game two, Belize Rural Primary School defeated Burrell Boom Methodist School by the score of 24-4. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Randy Moody with 12 points while the top scorers for Burrell Boom Methodist School were Solomon Tillett and Tayjawn Gallego with 2 points each.

In the boys’ semi-final match, Belize Rural Primary School defeated Lucky Strike Government School by the score of 48-3. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Bernard Sutherland with 18 points while the top scorer for Lucky Strike Government School was Jaheed Flowers with 3 points.

And in the championship game, Belize Rural Primary School defeated Our Lady of the Way RC School by the score of 12-8. The top scorer for Belize Rural Primary School was Randy Moody with 6 points and the top scorer for Our Lady of the Way RC School was Elmer Moralez with 4 points.
