Randy Petillo, a 20-year-old employee of the Princess Hotel, was busted with what police say is a prohibited firearm, a .22 pen gun. Petillo is presently on remand at the Belize Central Prison after he was arraigned on two gun related offenses; keeping a prohibited firearm and ammunition without being granted a gun license.

The allegations against Petillo are that on Monday, October 30, 2017, he was socializing in Majestic Alley when a search was conducted on him by police officers, he was found in possession of a pen gun.

Petillo, who was unrepresented, appeared before Magistrate Aretha Ford to answer to the charges. He pleaded not guilty but due to the nature of the offenses, bail could not be granted and he was remanded until December 19, 2017.
