After being on lock down at the Belize Central Prison, the officer accused of having an unlicensed firearm in his possession, PC Carlisle Bol, was granted Supreme Court bail on November 3, 2017. The application for bail was made by attorney Leeroy Banner on his behalf.

Prosecutor for the crown, Jacqueline Willoughby, had no objection to bail being granted. With that, Justice Denis S. Hanomansingh granted him bail in the sum of $5,000 plus one surety of the same. He was ordered to surrender his travel documents, not to interfere with any of the prosecution witnesses, and to attend all court adjournments set by the court.

PC Bol was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation at the Elements Night Club on October 28, 2017. That altercation caught the attention of another police officer who eventually intervened and escorted PC Bol outside the nightclub and he saw an object in his pocket which turned out to be a .22 caliber pistol.
