The guiding force of our youths towards their productive capacities have taken on a new dimension in the Nation’s Capital. The City of Belmopan now has ten newly trained mentors. These are people who decided that they will take the time to guide, teach, mold and build lasting relationships with youths in their community.

Each newly trained community member will be given the opportunity to mentor one youth between the ages of 11 and 16. This is possible through efforts of the Belmopan Active Youths BAY, the Belmopan City Council and the Child Development Foundation.

A press release from BAY states: We are grateful and we ask you become a mentor today.

Thus; bringing a new hope to our young people in Belmopan are Arita Sabal, Ajani Requena, Berisford Codd, Christopher Enriquez, David Smith, Eckert Guy, Javier Novelo, Joslyn Young, Sonia Burns, Tricia Pelayo and Verlie lamb.

For more information on the mentorship program in Belmopan contact can be made with Stacy Pope on Facebook or by calling 622-1545. It is expected that the successes at BAY in Belmopan will eventually be copied in other areas of Belize.
