The Football Federation of Belize held its 11th Ordinary Congress on Saturday 2nd December 2017, at 10:00 am at the Ramada Princess on Newtown Barracks in Belize City.

The high point of the 11th Ordinary Congress was the elections of the President and Vice President of the Football Federation of Belize.

A total of 20 delegates, each representing a football district and the Premier League of Belize participated in the election process, which saw the election of Sergio Chuc as the new President of the Football Federation of Belize. Chuc, received a total of 14 votes out of the 20 casts by the delegates. Onan McLean received 4 votes, former president Ruperto Vicente received 2 and outsider Daniel Fabro received 0 votes.

For the post of Vice President, the candidates for this Saturday’s elections were Cruz Gamez; David Griffith; Carlos Galvez; and Frank Sharp, another outsider who was allied with Daniel Fabro.

Cruz Gamez was elected as Vice President of the Football Federation in Belize in the second round of voting when he received 14 votes out of the 20 that were casted.  Carlos Galvez received 4 votes and Frank Sharp got the remaining 2 with David Griffith receiving 0.

Sergio Chuc and Cruz Gamez join the rest of the executive, Senior Vice President Marlon Kuylen, and Executive members Darlene Vernon, and Shane Moody Orio.
