High school students in Belmopan now have one more tool in their tool box for improving their educational performance. On Friday, 15 December 2017, a Handing Over Ceremony for 15 computers with accessories took place at the Our Lady of Guadalupe High School.

These 15 computers with peripherals were made possible through the hard work and fundraising efforts of Rotary Belmopan. Present from Rotary for the handing over ceremony were members Velda Wade, Vanessa Grajales, Ana Recinos and Leon Castillo.

Spokesperson for Rotary Belmopan, Leon Castillo, expressed his joy at being able to meet one of the high school’s needs, and the hope is that these 15 computers will serve and empower our youths. He also reiterated Rotary’s motto of, “Service Above Self”.

The Principal of Our Lady of Guadalupe High School, Carolyn Williams-Tillet has also expressed her sincere gratitude on behalf of the teachers, Board, students and parents.

Rotary is an altruistic service oriented organization that is divided into two major service divisions, Rotary and Rotaract. They do indeed practice their motto of, “Service Above Self”
