The Aragon Orange Walk East Christmas Cheer came to an end on Wednesday December 20 with the distribution of a hamper to the Orange Walk East town residents. The cheer started with the lighting of the Christmas tree on Liberty Avenue which saw some 1200 residents coming out along with their children. The kids were treated to toys, bouncy houses and mechanical rides and they also got a chance to win any of 100 attractive items which were raffled. 1600 goodies bags and ideals were also distributed. Next came the distribution of toys and hampers to residents of Tower Hill on Saturday 16 December. This was followed by a similar activity in Chan Pine Ridge on Sunday December 17 and Santa Martha and Carmelita Villages on Monday December 18 and Palmar on Tuesday December 19. All told some 3,100 bags were delivered to residents of Orange Walk East. These events have been sponsored every year for the past four years by the Hon. Elodio Aragon Jr. and his Committee. Every year the numbers increase but the challenges are met head on by this dynamic Area Representative who unlike his PUP predecessors has delivered for his people time and time again.
